Precautions
• Work on a clear and open surface • Careful when unscrewing as most of the screws are extremely small, have a small box ready with you • Take note and keep track of each screw during disassembling and assembling
Step 1
Power off your iPhone before beginning disassembly.
Step 2
Remove the two 6.7 mm-long pentalobe screws at the bottom edge of the iPhone.
Step 3
Note: The screen is secured to the chassis using adhesive Use hair dryer to soften adhesive
Step 4
Close the handle on the opening tool, opening the suction-cup jaws. Place you iPhone in between the suction cups, against the plastic depth gauge. Open the handles to close the jaws of the opening tool. Center the suction cups and press them firmly onto the top and bottom of the iPhone. Hold onto your iPhone securely and close the handle of the opening tool to separate the suction cups, pulling the front panel up from the rear case. Peel the two suction cups off your iPhone. Gently grasp the display assembly and lift it up to open the phone, using the clips at the top of the front panel as a hinge.
Step 5
Open the iPhone by swinging the display up from the left side, like the back cover of a book.
Step 6
Remove the following four tri-point Y000 screws securing the lower display cable bracket to the logic board: Three 1.2 mm screws (Orange Circle) One 2.6 mm screw (Red Circle)
Step 7
Remove the bracket.
Step 8
Use the point of a spudger to pry the battery connector straight up out of its socket.
Step 9
Use the flat end of a spudger or a fingernail to disconnect the two lower display connectors by prying them straight up from their sockets on the logic board.
Step 10
Remove the three tri-point Y000 screws securing the bracket over the front panel sensor assembly connector: One 1.3 mm screw (Red Circle) Two 1.0 mm screws (Orange Circle) Remove the bracket.
Step 11
Disconnect the front panel sensor assembly connector from its socket on the logic board.
Step 12
Remove the display assembly.
Step 13
Note: Battery is glued to the chassis of iphone Slightly pry up the top of the battery Insert nylon string between battery and chassis Slowly remove the adhesive Remove the old battery
Step 14
Paste the battery adhesive on the new battery Peel off the sticker covering the battery adhesive
Step 15
Insert new battery Make sure battery connector is aligned to socket
Step 16
Waterproof Adhesive Replacement
Note: Steps 16 - 20 optional to replace waterproof adhesive Begin by removing all the old display adhesive around the perimeter of your iPhone's case. Be sure to remove any remaining adhesive from the back of your display as well.
Step 17
Begin peeling the large backing from your replacement adhesive, starting from the bottom edge.
Step 18
Carefully align the exposed lower edge of the adhesive strip with the bottom edge of your iPhone's case. When it's correctly aligned, gently press the exposed lower adhesive strip into place. Continue peeling away the backing from the adhesive, gently pressing the adhesive into place from the bottom of your iPhone to the top. Finish separating the adhesive backing and discard it.
Step 19
Use the tip of a spudger to press all the adhesive into place around the entire perimeter of your iPhone.
Step 20
Completely separate the front adhesive liner(s) and discard it.

Install back the display assembly

Connect back the front panel sensor assembly connector to its socket on the logic board.
Step 23
Place back the bracket. Secure the three tri-point Y000 screws to secure the bracket to the front panel sensor assembly connector: One 1.3 mm screw (Red Circle) Two 1.0 mm screws (Orange Circle)
Step 24
Connect the two lower display connectors to the logic board
Step 25
Connect back the battery connector to its socket on the logic board.
Step 26
Place back the lower display cable bracket.
Step 27
Secure back the following four tri-point Y000 screws to secure the lower display cable bracket to the logic board: Three 1.2 mm screws (Orange Circle) One 2.6 mm screw (Red Circle)
Step 28
Close back the iphone
Step 29
Secure back the two 6.7 mm-long pentalobe screws at the bottom edge of the iPhone.
