Precautions

• Work on a clear and open surface • Careful when unscrewing as most of the screws are extremely small, have a small box ready with you • Take note and keep track of each screw during disassembling and assembling

Use hair dryer to soften adhesive

Close the handle on the opening tool, opening the suction-cup jaws. Place you iPhone in between the suction cups, against the plastic depth gauge. Open the handles to close the jaws of the opening tool. Center the suction cups and press them firmly onto the top and bottom of the iPhone. Hold onto your iPhone securely and close the handle of the opening tool to separate the suction cups, pulling the front panel up from the rear case. Peel the two suction cups off your iPhone. Gently grasp the display assembly and lift it up to open the phone, using the clips at the top of the front panel as a hinge.

Open the iPhone by swinging the display up from the left side, like the back cover of a book.

Remove three 1.2 mm Y000 screws securing the battery connector cover bracket.

Use the point of a spudger to pry the battery connector straight up out of its socket.

Remove the two 1.2 mm Y000 screws securing the display connector bracket.

Remove the bracket.

Use the tip of a spudger to pry up and disconnect the following cables: 1. digitizer cable. 2. display cable connector

Remove the five screws securing the logic board connector bracket to the rear case: One 1.3 mm Phillips #000 screw (Red Circle) One 1.5 mm Phillips #000 screw (Orange Circle) Three 1.2 mm Y000 screws (Yellow Circle)

Use the tip of a spudger to pry the front sensor assembly connector up from its socket.

Remove the display assembly.

Remove the four screws securing the speaker/sensor assembly to the back of the display: Two 1.6 mm Phillips screws (Yellow Circles0 One 2.3 mm Phillips screw (Orange Circle) One 1.2 mm Y000 screw (Red Circle)

Using tweezers, gently flip the speaker assembly over—down and away from the top edge of the display.

Carefully slide the flat edge of a spudger underneath the flex cable below the microphone. Use a spudger to separate the microphone, while being careful not to strain or damage the flex cable.

Use tweezers to slide the small bracket straight up and off of the ambient light sensor.

Remove the entire ambient light sensor

Remove the earpiece speaker and front sensor assembly and install it on the new screen

Install back the entire ambient light sensor

Use the tip of a spudger to connect back the front sensor assembly connector

Place back the bracket. Secure back the five screws securing the logic board connector bracket to the rear case: One 1.3 mm Phillips #000 screw (Red Circle) One 1.5 mm Phillips #000 screw (Orange Circle) Three 1.2 mm Y000 screws (Yellow Circle)

Connect back the following cables: 1. display cable connector 2. digitizer cable.

Place back the bracket. Secure back the two 1.2 mm Y000 screws securing the display connector bracket.

Connect back the battery connector to its socket.

Place back the bracket Secure back the three 1.2 mm Y000 screws securing the battery connector cover bracket.

Close back the iphone

Secure back the the two 6.7 mm-long pentalobe screws at the bottom edge of the iPhone.
