Precautions
• Work on a clear and open surface • Careful when unscrewing as most of the screws are extremely small, have a small box ready with you • Take note and keep track of each screw during disassembling and assembling
Step 1
Power off your iPhone before beginning disassembly. Remove the two 3.6 mm-long P2 Pentalobe screws next to the Lightning connector.
Step 2
Close the handle on the opening tool, opening the suction-cup jaws. Place you iPhone in between the suction cups, against the plastic depth gauge. Open the handles to close the jaws of the opening tool. Center the suction cups and press them firmly onto the top and bottom of the iPhone. Hold onto your iPhone securely and close the handle of the opening tool to separate the suction cups, pulling the front panel up from the rear case. Peel the two suction cups off your iPhone.
Step 3
Pull the home button end of the front panel assembly away from the rear case, using the top of the phone as a hinge.
Step 4
Remove the following Phillips screws from the battery connector bracket: One 2.2 mm screw (Orange Circle) One 3.2 mm screw (Red Circle)
Step 5
Remove the metal battery connector bracket from the iPhone.
Step 6
Disconnect the battery connector
Step 7
Remove the following five Phillips screws securing the front panel assembly cable bracket: Three 1.2 mm screws (Orange Circle) One 1.7 mm screw (Yellow Circle) One 3.1 mm screw (Red Circle)
Step 8
Remove the front panel assembly cable bracket from the logic board.
Step 9
Use a spudger or a fingernail to disconnect the following cables: Front-facing camera and sensor cable connector. Display data cable connector. Digitizer cable connector.
Step 10
Remove the front panel assembly from the rear case.
Step 11
Remove the two 1.9 mm Phillips screws securing the home button bracket.
Step 12
Remove the home button bracket from the front panel.
Step 13
Use the point of a spudger to disconnect the home button cable connector by pushing it up and away from the home button.
Step 14
Using your fingertip, apply firm, constant pressure on the home button from the front side of the display assembly, until the membrane starts to separate from the front panel. Remove the home button and install on new screen
Step 15
Connect back the home button cable connector
Step 16
Place back the metal bracket Secure the two 1.9 mm Phillips screws
Step 17
Place back the front display assembly Insert back the following cables: Digitizer cable connector. Display data cable connector. Front-facing camera and sensor cable connector.
Step 18
Place back the metal bracket Secure the following five Phillips screws: Three 1.2 mm screws (Orange Circle) One 1.7 mm screw (Yellow Circle) One 3.1 mm screw (Red Circle)

Connect back the battery connector
Step 20
Place back the metal bracket Secure the following Phillips screws: One 2.2 mm screw (Orange Circle) One 3.2 mm screw (Red Circle)

Close back the phone
