Precautions
• Work on a clear and open surface • Careful when unscrewing as most of the screws are extremely small, have a small box ready with you • Take note and keep track of each screw during disassembling and assembling
Step 1
Power off your iPhone before beginning disassembly. Remove the two 6.9 mm-long pentalobe screws at the bottom edge of the iPhone.
Step 2
Use hair dryer to soften adhesive
Step 3
Open the handles to close the jaws of the opening tool. Center the suction cups and press them firmly onto the top and bottom of the iPhone. Hold onto your iPhone securely and close the handle of the opening tool to separate the suction cups, pulling the front panel up from the rear case. Peel the two suction cups off your iPhone. Gently grasp the display assembly and lift it up to open the phone, using the clips at the top of the front panel as a hinge.
Step 4
Open the iPhone by swinging the display up from the left side, like the back cover of a book.
Step 5
Remove four Y000 screws securing the logic board cover bracket, of the following lengths: Two 1.1 mm screws (Red Circle) One 1.5 mm screw (Orange Circle) One 3.7 mm screw (Yellow Circle)
Step 6
Remove the bracket.
Step 7
Use a spudger or a clean fingernail to pry the battery connector up from its socket on the logic board.
Step 8
Remove the three Y000 screws securing the display connector bracket: Two 1.1 mm screws (Orange Circle) One 1.5 mm screw (Red Circle)
Step 9
Remove the bracket.
Step 10
Use the point of a spudger or a fingernail to disconnect the front panel sensor assembly connector.
Step 11
Use a spudger or a fingernail to disconnect the OLED panel cable connector.
Step 12
Carefully lift the cable until the adhesive separates. Remove the display assembly.
Step 13
Remove the three Y000 screws securing the speaker/sensor assembly: One 1.4 mm screw (Red Circle) Two 1.5 mm screws (Orange Circle)
Step 14
Using a spudger, gently pry under the top edge of the speaker assembly, and flip it over—down and away from the top edge of the display.
Step 15
Remove the ambient light sensor and microphone Insert the earpiece speaker and front sensor assembly into the new screen Insert back the ambient light sensor and microphone
Step 16
flip back up the earpiece speaker and front sensor assembly
Step 17
Secure back the three Y000 screws securing the speaker/sensor assembly: One 1.4 mm screw (Red Circle) Two 1.5 mm screws (Orange Circle)
Step 18
Insert back the display assembly Insert back the panel sensor assembly connector.
Step 19
Insert back the digitizer cable connector up to its socket.
Step 20
Connect back the OLED panel cable connector to its socket
Step 21
Place back the bracket.

Secure the three Y000 screws securing the display connector bracket: Two 1.1 mm screws (Orange Circle) One 1.5 mm screw (Red Circle)
Step 23
Connect back the battery connector up to its socket to the logic board.
Step 24
Place back the bracket.
Step 25
Secure back the four Y000 screws securing the logic board cover bracket, of the following lengths: Two 1.1 mm screws (Red Circle) One 1.5 mm screw (Orange Circle) One 3.7 mm screw (Yellow Circle)
Step 26
Close back the iphone
Step 27
Secure back the two 6.9 mm-long pentalobe screws at the bottom edge of the iPhone.
